    Whānau Tahi Navigator Security Roles

    The following security roles define the level of access granted to a user. Only one of these roles should be assigned to any given user or team.

    Security Roles Overview

    The following table describes the core security roles.

    Role Description
    Case Worker Case workers only access referrals that are assigned to them. They have access to the plan connected to the referral. On a plan, they will see summary information, but will be unable to open detailed activity forms except for activities that they themselves create.
    Navigator Navigators have access to referrals assigned to them and also to referrals assigned to others in the same business unit. On a plan, they will see summary information, but will be unable to open detailed activity forms except for activities that they themselves create.
    Team Leader Team Leaders have access to referrals assigned to them and also to referrals assigned to others in the same business unit and below. On a plan, they will see summary information, and can also open and edit the activities add by others users that belong to the same business unit as the Team Leader.
    Manager Managers have access to referrals assigned to them and also to referrals assigned to others in the same business unit and below. On a plan, they will see summary information, and can also open and edit the activities add by others users that belong to the same business unit as the Manager. Managers can also add and alter Funding Contract and Contract Service data.
    Whanau Tahi Administrator The Whanau Tahi Administrator has full access to all data, including delete permission. This role should be assigned only to highly trusted and trained system administrators.

    Security Role Privileges

    Case Worker

    Provide services to whānau including creating and monitoring incoming referrals, plans, assessments, and other plan activities.

    • Create and update individuals and whānau.
    • Create, send, accept, and enrol referrals, but only for themselves.
    • Access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to the user.
    • View details of activities assigned to the user.
    • Create, edit, and complete their own activities on the plan.

    Navigator

    Provide services to whānau including creating and monitoring incoming referrals, plans, assessments, and other plan activities.

    • Create and update individuals and whānau
    • Create, send, accept, and enrol referrals for themselves and for others in the same business unit
    • Access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to the user, and plans connected to referrals that are assigned to someone else in the same business unit.
    • View details of activities assigned to the user.
    • Create, edit, and complete their own activities on the plan.

    Team Leader

    Provide services to whānau including creating and monitoring incoming referrals, plans, assessments, and other plan activities. Provide oversight and assistance to case workers and navigators.

    • Create and update individuals and whānau
    • Create, send, accept, and enrol referrals for themselves and for others in the same business unit
    • Access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to the user, and also access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to someone else in the same business unit.
    • View details of activities assigned to the user or to other users in the same business unit.
    • Create, edit, and complete plan activities assigned to the user to to other users in the same business unit.

    Manager

    Provide services to whānau including creating and monitoring incoming referrals, plans, assessments, and other plan activities. Provide oversight and assistance to case workers and navigators.

    • Create and update individuals and whānau
    • Create, send, accept, and enrol referrals for themselves and for others in the same business unit
    • Access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to the user, and also access plans connected to referrals that are assigned to someone else in the same business unit.
    • View details of activities assigned to the user or to other users in the same business unit.
    • Create, edit, and complete plan activities assigned to the user to to other users in the same business unit.
    • Create and edit funding contracts and contract services

    Whanau Tahi Administrator

    Full access to all whānau, individuals, referrals, plans, and activitiesm.

    • Create, update, and delete individuals and whānau.
    • Create, send, accept, enrol and delete referrals.
    • Access all plans.
    • View details of all activities.
    • Create, edit, complete, and delete plan activities.
    • Create and edit and delete funding contracts and contract services.
