    Whānau Tahi Q4 2023 Release

    Available from October 2023

    Warning

These release notes are under construction and will be receiving improvements over time.

    Important

From the October release of Navigator, Whānau Tahi will no longer be using version numbers in our release notes or communications for updates or upgrades.

As Whānau Tahi continues its Engineering haerenga (journey), we've made some changes to how we handle version numbers for Navigator. These numbers are now system-generated based on automated build processes, giving us limited control over their specifics, with the exception of the major version. For instance, the current major version remains as version 6. As a result, you may notice frequent changes in version numbers due to minor adjustments or fixes.

Moving forward, releases will be identified by the quarter of their release. We'll ensure you can easily determine the release quarter, as we transition to a quarterly or bi-annual release schedule.

    Features

    Tip

The following features are available to everyone and released with a feature flag controlled by Whānau Tahi, allowing you to choose whether these are turned on or off based on your organisation's readiness for change.

Look Up NHI Number for an Individual

Bringing social and health worlds together to support individuals and whānau.

On the Individual Form within Navigator, a new Tab, titled “NHI”, now includes our NHI Lookup, connecting you to Te Whatu Ora’s Hira Marketplace NHI API (application programming interface) which allows access to their entire NHI Database.

With NHI look up available in Navigator, this:

    • reduces the effort to serve, using additional tools to gather information.
    • improves the data quality collected with information sourced from other government agencies.
    Note

To access this feature Whanau Tahi will support you to get your Product Credentials from Te Whatu Ora.

For further information about NHI look up. view the user guide.

    Get Medicines Information (NZePS Integration)

Navigator now allows you to look at the Medications Data Repository for an Individual. This enables you see if a GP has prescribed medication, if a pharmacy dispensed it, and your whānau collected it. This helps you find ways and opportunities to help the person or their whānau get the medication they need to stay well.

    • Only those with the right security roles will be to view the full name of any given prescribed medication.
    • Whānau members can (or must, depending on your business process) provide consent to access Medicines information, captured specifically in the system. This determines whether data is pulled or not via enforcement.

With the new "Medicines" Tab within the Individual, you can now do the following:

    • Record Individuals consent to access their medicines information.
    • Sensitive information such as the name of the medications is not visible to everyone, based on security configuration.
    • View long term medicines prescribed in the last 12 months.
    • View medicines prescribed by GP.
    • View medicines dispensed by Pharmacy.
    • View of when a medicine has been collected.
    Note

To access this feature Whanau Tahi will support you to get your Product Credentials from Te Whatu Ora.

    • Create a question bank, through creating many re-usable question records.
    • Configure question branching logic.
    • Add single or multiple form validations that can be re-used across different assessments and questions.
